Mon 16th – Tue 17th : Tea Ceremony
A time for contemplation and reflection – if it feels right for you that is. To take a moment to look back and view situations with the benefit of hindsight.
What really came to the fore, was resolved, was brought up to be looked at in greater detail? When you look back can you see the deeper reasons behind them or are you still sitting/stuck with the emotion that came with it?
Can you look at where you are right this minute and be present – to observe what you feel right now. What are you being shown – can you delve deeper.
This to me is a nod to eastern traditions and ritual – of being present. Japan in particular with the tea ceremony. The time and respect taken to honour the full process from start to finish. Taking time for each individual step that creates the whole.
For many we are reaching a turning point as the current cycle comes to an end with the new ready to come in. Look deep at where you are right now. What can you happily let go of, where can you make space? Be it energetically or physically with letting go of physical, emotional or energetic clutter.
When you stop and look it’s amazing what can be revealed in a single moment. It may feel uncomfortable but if you choose to step into the discomfort you may find it flows that bit quicker.
Wed 18th – Thur 19th : Tea Leaves ~ Foresight
Curious that we have two cards from completely different decks linked with something so specific. This time we look more towards divination or foresight rather than hindsight.
To me this is a marker of moving from looking and working with the current. To now working and looking into the immediate future. Setting intentions and asking where you see yourself going. Asking does this align with my path – or am I being blinkered in some way. Really feeling into it and speaking direct to your own gut feelings and reactions.
It also has a nod towards ancestral work with ancient traditions showing up. Even for a moment.
if you have ancestral or family line work to do this may be the confirmation you have been waiting for. Go with how YOU are guided to work – not how others would have you working. Do it intuitively and work with your discernment.
For me this is also a nod to something that I have made a change in only very recently. Of moving back to loose leaf tea rather than teabags in another small step towards waste reduction. I’m taking it as confirmation to keep going. This may resonate for some of you – if it doesn’t then see it as an amusing coincidence.
For some others it’s possibly a reminder to stop and have a cuppa. To take a moment to relax – even if just for 10 minutes!
Fri 20th – Sun 22nd : Brigid
Now this is a special card for me on a personal level as it falls across the Winter Solstice on the 22nd – my annual reset.
Brigid or Bridgit (depending on which spelling resonates for you) is all about light. Welcoming the light back – and falling as it does on the shortest day I’d say it’s pretty accurate. For those in the Southern hemisphere it will be the longest day for Summer Solstice.
Of remembering the seasons and the wheel as it turns. Knowing that after the darkness comes light. Of working with light/fire in a way that brings balance. Finding solace and peace in that space.
This is also a time to realise we are ALL connected even if at times it doesn’t feel it. This is very much a time to remember and understand that we don;t all see things from the same viewpoint and may not always agree. Bu to go beyond this and understand that even if we don;t agree it doesn’t lessen the others perspective or EXPERIENCE that brings them to where they are.
Fidn the common ground between rather than focus of where the difference lies.
The collective NEEDS this vibration of compassion and understanding right now. Allow it to flow from you and watch how it ripples gently outwards.
For those marking Solstice in either hemisphere let go of what no longer serves with grace and allow space for the new coming in. Embrace it.
Start of the week – pause if you can to look at what has passed this year and the true lessons gained after some hindsight is applied. Also to sit with your energy as it is right now – to honour being fully present. See what comes up and where it takes you.
Mid week – honour the ancestors and their ancient ways – some of which are coming back in a stripped back version. If you feel guided to work on your ancestral lines/energies then do so. But in a way that makes sense to you – not in a way someone else decides is right for you. For some others this is an opportunity to look forwards and start setting intentions.
End of the week – this marks either the Winter or Summer Solstice on the 22nd depending where you are. And it’s the last of this decade. Take a moment to reflect upon it – and take a moment to remember we are all linked and connected at a deep level. Allow your compassion and kindness to rise to the surface and guide you at this time.
