Extra card for the week : The faery ring
This card for me is all about the different places you can find guidance. Or the directions it can come from.
The main thing I’m being nudged to say is if you are seeking guidance to use your own powers of discernment to decide if it’s the right one for you or not.
It’s all too easy to listen to something, take it as gospel and then later down the road start to have your doubts. We’ve all been there. Pay attention to your gut reaction – if it feels off then step back, if it feels good then keep going.
Now to get a bit airy fairy (yes I can do it on occasion). Sometimes the absolute best guidance you will ever get comes from yourself. From within. From your own higher self. Try and not ignore or disregard it. Listen to it instead – see where it leads you.
Start to heed the small details in what is presented to you – it may be in repeating song lyrics, random things on your social media feed 3 times in a row, several people saying the same phrase or words in a short space of time. Whatever it is you need or are asking to see/hear it will be given to you in a way you can translate.
Be open to receiving however – it’s all to easy to ask for guidance on the surface but having zero inclination of taking it in. Do that too often and they stop coming through.
I see a daffodil in this card and that for me is a sign to get outside and connect with nature. To spend time outside rather than cooped up in my office.
Taking some time out to get outside – even if just for 5 minutes – really does start to connect you to the bigger picture.
Of getting out of your head or the removing the blinkers you’ve placed on yourself. We can get so mired up in the day to day stiff that we can miss whats going on around us. Take some time for yourself – get back in touch with the seasons, see daylight.
Buy yourself that bunch of flowers, get a new house plant, work in the garden if you have one, feed the birds, go to the seaside or the local park/woods.
It’s all about lighten the load and remembering how to simply be instead of always doing.
Now this for me is more of a REMINDER that you you have energetic armour rather than an alert that you need it.
At times we find ourselves going through shifts and the processing can be painful or prolonged. During this time we can be a tad vulnerable as our energy system can be a bit open or out of sync.
If you find yourself in that space remember you have the ability to shield it while it integrates. It doesn’t have to be a big complicated thing and can be as simple as giving yourself some quiet time, resting. Of declining invitations and saying no to things if you really aren’t up to it.
Take care of yourself and know this armour or boundaries are part of your step towards self empowerment. They are always there so use them when you need to.
And yes on occasion this armour, shield or boundaries can be in the form of another person who can step in to help for a short while. Try not to take advantage or lean on them too hard – this is short term stuff only till you find your feet.
In fact YOU may even be that person for someone else.
Try not to become a martyr or overstep – short term only or you’ll burn out.
Start of the week : guidance can come in all sorts of forms. What you need to see or hear will be in a form you can translate. Use your discernment for what comes to you – if it feels right pay then carry on, if it feels off then step back and sense check.
Mid week : if you can get outside and reconnect with nature. Be it a cuppa in the garden, buying a bunch of flowers for the home/office, going on a walk, getting down to the water…whatever it is take this time out for yourself. You’ll be able to relax and perhaps see or sense the bigger picture for a moment.
End of the week : a reminder that you have the ability to shield your energies when you need to. If you feel a little vulnerable, are processing or have been through a shift sometimes you can be or feel a little delicate or out of sorts. Look after yourself, as this is the first step in self empowerment. It is a choice but you have the tools to hand.
