Spiritual Bandwagons

Another fun topic is that of spiritual bandwagons. Why am I mentioning it – because it frustrates the living crap out of me.

I saw a lot of it earlier in the year around Chinese New year as it moved from rabbit to dragon. And all the well known people suddenly jumping on dragon energy who had never mentioned it before in their puff.

Now I have no objections to how people run their business – as quite frankly it’s none of mine. But I did find myself grinding my teeth as social media post after social media post and email after email kept shouting about dragon energy.

Some very big names were doing it.

Did I unfollow and unsubscribe a few folk – you bet your backside I did.

Why?

I couldn’t take another minute of what was being written and shared – by people who have never mentioned it before. I don’t recall any other Chinese astrology figures getting the same amount of attention. Or maybe I’ve blocked it over time? Who really knows.

Gotta listen to your gut folks

I don’t want to say I read some utter nonsense, but I did read a few things that has me screwing my face up and asking “what the hell?” or “was this written by AI as it makes zero sense”.

If you are following someone who suddenly brings up a topic they’ve never mentioned before and it feels off, do yourself a favour and step back. See if it’s a flash in the pan or the latest trend in the field first. You’ll be able to spot it straight away. I see it all the time in the crystal world when the next newest crystal launches on Tik Tok or Instagram. I then steer clear.

How to tell the difference between spiritual bandwagon and spiritual truth

If its genuine they’ll gradually build up to it and have hints long the way of a shift or something new they are working with.

Does it feel or sound genuine or does it feel like a way to drive sales?

I’m no saint and may indeed have done the very same thing myself in the past – but I’ve moved on. I don’t do global meditations as they can attract all sorts and cause more harm than good when intentions go astray. I don’t push the dragon energy that I know and love because it really isn’t for everyone and you’d get sick of hearing it.

If your gut says “eh this feels weird” step back

If your gut says “this is amazing news I need to hear more!” then keep going.

Once you see a spiritual bandwagon and everyone jumping on you’ll always know what it looks like for the next one rolling into town. And if it’s something you hold dear grit your teeth and give it a fortnight to let it all settle down.

Rant over *wry smile*
